Saturday, July 24, 2010—Eagle/Colorado

2010 Dusty Boot Colorado-Eagle River Ride

Starting: 7:00 am to 8:00 am

Location: Beaver Creek Resort Elk Lot

The 9th one-day Dusty Boot Colorado-Eagle River Ride offers three routes riders can choose from: the 100-mile loop beginning and ending at the Beaver Creek Resort, the 100-kilometer route from the Beaver Creek Resort to Dotsero, or the 42-mile route from the Beaver Creek Resort to Eagle and back.

One-hundred percent of the proceeds and rider-raised dollars from the River Ride will benefit Take The Magic Step’s charity partner SOS Outreach. The non-profit organization builds character in underserved youths through adventure programs. Founded in 1993, today the charity serves 5,000 students in nine states as well as Canada and New Zealand.

Uta will take part in the fundraiser’s 100-mile ride, which has a total vertical elevation gain of 2,750 feet! She looks forward to joining hundreds of cyclists for a fun and challenging ride through the scenic Colorado Rockies with their rolling hills, moderate climbs, and breathtaking peaks. After the ride, the Dusty Boot provides a post-ride party in the Beaver Creek Village. Come and join us for food and entertainment in a relaxed atmosphere to let this wonderful day unwind.

Saturday, June 12, 2010—Green Bay/Wisconsin

2010 Bellin Run

Starting: 7:53 am Wheelchair Division, 8:00 am First Wave

Location: In front of the Bellin Hospital, immediately south of the skywalk—774 South Webster Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54305.

Come and join us as a participant or spectator at this year’s Bellin Run! Together with Bill Rodgers, Joan Benoit-Samuelson and other fellow runners, walkers, and wheelchair athletes, Uta will be participating in this race. She is elated to be part of this sporting event and the surrounding activities that draw thousands of health and fitness enthusiasts from the Northeast-Wisconsin area.

Awards Ceremony: 10:30 am—Astor Park, located at the corner of Clay and Porlier streets.

After the race, an awards ceremony during which certificates are presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each 10K running division will be held. Uta will also be available for some last-minute autograph signing.

Friday, June 11, 2010—Green Bay/Wisconsin

2010 Bellin Run Spaghetti Dinner

Time: 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Location: Astor Park, located at the corner of Clay and Porlier streets—Green Bay, WI 54301.

Autograph Session with Uta: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm located at the Astor Park.

The Dick Lytie Children’s Run for children 10 years old and younger will be held as well that evening at the Astor Park; starting time is 6:00 pm. At this Bellin Run event “Every kid is a winner!” and will get a T-shirt, an award and a gift.

A Training Session with the KI Corporate Team

Starting: 11:30 am

Location: KI Corporate Headquarters—1330 Bellevue Street, Green Bay, WI 54302.

Prior to the 34th edition of the Bellin Run, the corporate team of the Bellin Run’s gold sponsor, KI—Green Bay’s innovative furniture and interior design company—will come together for a fun 3-mile run. Besides yoga and stretching especially designed for runners, Uta will offer last-minute tips and inspiration for the upcoming race on Saturday.

Monday, May 31, 2010—Boulder/Colorado

32nd BolderBOULDER 10K

Starting: 6:55 am Wheelchair Division, 7:00 am First Wave, 11:00 am Elite Women,
11:10 am Elite Men

Location: The BolderBOULDER’s point-to-point course will begin near the intersection of 30th Street and Glenwood Drive—Boulder, Colorado 80304. The finish line is located at the Folsom Stadium of the University of Colorado—2400 Colorado Avenue Boulder, Colorado 80302.

In the high altitude of Boulder (5,430 feet above sea level!), professional runners, along with other runners, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair athletes, will take part in the challenging 10K held every year on Memorial Day. Uta will participate in the public fun run and is looking forward to tackling the hilly course, which runs through her sporty hometown, with fellow Boulderites. The great atmosphere along the way to the finish is fueled by many cheering spectators as well as bands and entertainers, making this run a fun event for the more than 50,000 participants and the whole community.

2010 Rock the Run 5K

Starting: 8:00 am All Divisions

Location: The race will start at the entrance of the Arvida Park of Commerce—Yamato Road Boca Raton, Florida 33431. The finish line is at the Life Time Athletic Club—1499 Yamato Road Boca Raton, Florida 33431.

A fun 5K on a hopefully beautiful and sunny Saturday morning with enthusiastic South Florida runners for Uta. Come and join us, listen to some Rock ’n‘ Roll music, and participate in this entertaining 5K event. … and if you still feel energetic after your run, you might stop by the post-race party provided by the Life Time Athletic Club.

114th Boston Marathon

Starting: 9:22 am Wheelchair Division, 9:32 am Elite Women, 10:00 am Elite Men and First Wave

Location: The point-to-point course of the Boston Marathon will begin at the Doughboy statue on East Main Street (near Ash Street) in Hopkinton, Massachusetts 01748. The finish line is in front of the Boston Public Library—700 Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02116.

The prestigious Boston Marathon is the world’s oldest annual marathon, and this year it attracts up to twenty-five thousand participants from all over the world to run the famous 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boston. At the 114th edition of this traditional marathon adventure on Patriots Day, Uta will be at the starting line to support and encourage the runners in their wonderful athletic endeavor. Later on, she will greet the members of the Team Hoyt Foundation as well as other marathoners at the finish line.

21th Annual Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge (“DFMC”) Pasta Party

As a guest speaker, Uta will be supporting the participants of the DFMC Patient and In-Memory Partner Program, which honors children treated at the cancer institute and those who are running on their behalf. She is looking forward to extending her gratitude and offering words of inspiration to these extraordinary runners who are raising money to benefit the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

2nd Annual Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) 5K

Starting: 8:00 am

Location: The race will start at the Copley Square Fountain—Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02116. It ends at the Boston Marathon finish line in front of the Boston Public Library—700 Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02116.

Together with Bill Rodgers and fellow runners and marathoners, Uta will be at the starting line of the Boston Athletic Associations newest running event—a 5K fun run for everyone who enjoys marathon fever in Beantown. The scenic course takes participants through Boston’s Back Bay and Beacon Hill and passes by the Boston Common (which is one of the oldest parks in the United States) and the Public Garden.

Team Hoyt Pasta Dinner

Location: Sheraton Boston Hotel, Prudential Center, Commonwealth Room—3rd floor 39 Dalton Street Boston, Massachusetts 02199

Team Hoyt’s charity runners will come together two days before the Boston Marathon for their pasta dinner. As the team’s online training coach, Uta is excited to have the opportunity to share last-minute tips and words of inspiration for running the Marathon after the team’s months of hard and dedicated training. The proceeds of the runners’ fundraising efforts will benefit the Hoyt Foundation and its charitable work.
