Saturday, December 6, 2008—West Palm Beach/Florida
2008 Marathon of the Palm Beaches 5K, Kids-K, and Kids Read & Run Marathon Mile
Start: 5K at 8:00 am, Ronald McDonald House Charities Kids-K at 9:00 am, Kids Read and Run Marathon Mile at 9:30 am
Location: Meyer Amphitheatre (Start & Finish)—105 Evernia Street.
Uta will join the participants of the Marathon 5K for an easy and fun jog and support the runners during the race.
After the 5K, Uta will join the kids for their runs. First, she will cheer on children up to the age of 8 for the Kids-K race and then she will root for the Palm Beach County Elementary and Middle School Students for their Kids Read and Run Marathon Mile. Every child will receive a bib, and T-shirt and will be awarded a medal. Uta and West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel will congratulate each child at the finish line.

2008 Marathon of the Palm Beaches/Chamber Breakfast & Press Conference
Starting: 7:45 am
Location: Marriott West Palm Beach Hotel—1001 Okeechobee Boulevard.
Uta will attend a breakfast and a press conference together with participants of the ‘Marathon of the Palm Beaches’’ running events. She will be speaking to the runners and provide inspirational words and last-minute tips from her experience as one of the most successful marathon runners of the 1990’s.

Saturday, August 2, 2008—and Sunday, August 3, 2008—Massachusetts
2008 Pan-Mass Challenge
The 29th Pan-Mass Challenge (“PMC”) will have starting lines in both Sturbridge and Wellesley on Saturday, August 2. One-day riders can choose to finish in either Bourne, Wellesley, or Sturbridge, while two-day riders can finish in either Wellesley or Provincetown.
This year, each of the estimated 5,500 cyclists will commit to raising between $1,300 and $4,000. Uta will be participating in the fundraiser’s two-day ride from Wellesley to Bourne on Saturday (82.4 miles) and from Bourne to Provincetown on Sunday (77.3 miles). She will also support other riders on their way to the finish!

Starting: 8:00 am
Location: In front of the Bellin Hospital—774 S. Webster Avenue, immediately south of the skywalk.
Uta will join the participants of the Bellin Run for a nice and easy jog.

Location: In the 725 Webster Medical Building parking lot and Baird Place Park, across the street from Bellin Hospital.
Autograph Session with Uta: 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm located just outside of the tent in the Webster Medical Building parking lot.

Location: Baird Place Park across the street from Bellin Hospital (weather permitting)
Guest speaker Uta Pippig, a two-time Olympian, will help participants get ready for the race by offering valuable insights on finding inspiration and helpful last-minute tips!
