Sunday, September 10, 2006—Boston/Massachusetts

Ollie Road Race—Youth Races and Carnival

Starting: 9:00 am

Location: Doc and Mary Tynan Senior Center, 136 H Street

Uta will join the kids for their run! Medals are awarded to all of the youngest runners as well as to the top finishers in each division. After the races are complete, children of all ages and their families enjoy great food, donated by local vendors, and a carnival-like atmosphere with fun and games for all. Sponsored by John Hancock Financial, each participant receives a T-shirt and a book, symbolizing the South Boston Neighborhood Houses’ continued efforts in literacy programming.

Ollie Road Race 2006—5M Run/2M Walk

Starting: 10:00 am

Location: Bank of America Pavillion, 290 Northern Ave

A festive atmosphere that not only promotes the athletic accomplishments for all participants, but the reward of a book at the finish line for all walkers and runners reinforces the importance of education for all members of the family. Uta will be signing autographs after the race and hopes to enjoy a good run in the master division.

Saturday, August 5, and Sunday, August 6, 2006—Massachusetts

2006 PMC—27th Annual Pan-Mass Challenge

The ride will have two starting lines on Saturday, Aug. 5, in Sturbridge and in Wellesley, Massachusetts and four finish lines: one-day riders can finish in Bourne, Wellesley, or Sturbridge on Saturday, Aug. 5 and two-day riders will finish in either Wellesley or Provincetown on Sunday, Aug. 6.

Uta joins the 4000 PMC riders on Saturday for a “fun” 84 mile bike ride from Wellesley to Bourne and supports the riders on their way to the finish!

Friday, August 4, 2006—Sturbridge/Massachusettes

2006 PMC Opening Ceremony

Time: 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Location: Sturbridge Host Resort

Greg LeMond, Johann Koss, and Uta will participate in the opening ceremonies at the original ride start in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. They will be giving motivational speeches to the more than 3000 riders present and live TV viewers will be following the events from 8-9pm.
