Corona Times Virtual Runs 2021 — Colorado and Berlin (Germany)

This Spring Uta Is Still Participating in Some Of Her Favorite Runs — Virtually. Join Her!

While there are still restrictions due to the pandemic, we can all join in virtual runs from wherever we are. The following are runs Uta participated in or will participate in.

Virtual B.A.A. Boston 5K (in memory of Dick Hoyt), April 17
Uta ran in spirit with Team Hoyt runners in loving memory of Dick Hoyt and the famed ground-breaking father son team. 5K time: 22:04. For more information about this race, click here.

Run Happy Spendenlauf, April 23
Uta chose to run the 5K here as well. This virtual run took place to help children with heart conditions for the Stiftung Kinderherz. 5K time: 21:43. For more information about this run, click here.

Virtual Runs Uta Will Participate in During the Coming Weeks

“Zero Hunger Run-Challenge” from May 5 to May 9
“Running for the children and collecting donations is a matter of the heart,” says Uta. “The donations ensure that children at school get a warm meal. Let’s run together and register for the #ZeroHungerRun – Challenge! Avon’s Women’s Race Berlin 2021 from May 13 to May 16
Uta will join this SCC event virtually. She will also post on her social media after her run. In this virtual run, the race organizers ask you to find your favorite route, run with friends or on your own. It does not matter how fast you go, the distance you choose to run, or how far you get. Bellin 10K Run from June 12 to June 21
As she has for years, Uta will run in this famed 10K — but this time virtually. The Run is marking its 45th anniversary. For information click here. The Run organizers have asked Uta for a welcoming video that they will post sometime in late May. Uta will also post on her social media. Click here for her Instagram.

Uta will be running in the mountains of Colorado. Being less physically social and staying safe from the pandemic has led her to a new passion: photography. Click here for her Instagram photography posts. She also is still writing her column for the German newspaper WELT.
