Uta has enjoyed providing autographs to her fans since participating in the world championship in athletics in Rome back in 1987. She loves to add a unique running girl figure (now our logo) to her signature to symbolize the special joy that running has always been for her.
Following her injuries in 1996 and 1997, Uta had the time to materialize this whimsical symbol into a more permanent reminder of her motto to “never give up.” Since then, items with the running girl logo have been used to support cancer research with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, to help the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort, to inspire runners worldwide, and now to promote fitness and health for everyone.
Profits from the sales of items with the running girl logo are donated to various charities.
